A PLACE TO REFLECT - New BRHA Pet Memorial Park
The Bitter Root Humane Association is beginning planning for a new Pet Memorial Park. It will be located south of the horse corral and east of our Road Department neighbor. The design has not been finalized but will include gravel, large boulders, cement statues, wind chimes and pathways made of memorial bricks to honor loved and lost pets. It will be appropriately fenced for privacy and quiet contemplation.
Memorial bricks can be purchased for $125.00 each and the vast majority of that is considered a donation to BRHA. You order your brick(s) through BRHA, we will order the bricks which will be sent to us, stored and installed when the pathways have been created.
This is a wonderful way to remember your pets while benefitting the lives of our guests who will soon become members of another loving family.

Subaru Loves Pets
Subaru of Missoula is proud to invite drivers, pet lovers, and families from across Montana to a special Subaru Loves Pets adoption event with Bitter Root Humane Association on Saturday, October 10, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Hosted at Subaru of Missoula, this community event is all about helping local shelter pets find loving homes while bringing together animal advocates from Missoula and the surrounding area.
The October adoption event is part of the annual Subaru Loves Pets campaign, a nationwide effort that connects Subaru retailers with trusted local animal welfare organizations. For the 2026 campaign, Subaru of Missoula is also giving $4,000 to Bitter Root Humane Association to support its ongoing work caring for shelter pets, preparing animals for adoption, and serving communities throughout the Bitterroot Valley and western Montana.
At the heart of the October 10 event is one simple goal: helping more adoptable pets connect with families in Missoula, Montana. Guests who attend the Subaru of Missoula adoption event will have the chance to meet adoptable animals, learn more about the pet adoption process, and support Bitter Root Humane Association’s mission to improve the lives of local dogs and cats every day.
